Course Description
This course will discuss several products, including what they are made from, where they are made, how "green" they are, and how one can create more sustainable long lasting designs through their usage. Attendees will see slides of installed and un-installed products, along with before and after shots. Products areas will include: green fencing and building materials, artistic and structural design solutions, lighting, and solutions to collect and re-use water in the landscape. A list of West Coast events will also be given so that attendees may continue to increase their knowledge of "Green" building materials.

Biography
Theodora A. Michailides has run successful landscape design, contracting and maintenance businesses. She founded and is the owner of Living Green Design Solutions, created to service the landscape and architectural industries with quality environmentally conscious products made on the West Coast and to provide technical and design assistance to other design professionals. Formal studies include: Science of Horticulture, Welding, Architectural Design and Business. The School of life provided much hands on experience in construction, problem solving and design inspiration.

It is the her desire to not only provide quality design materials, but to also assist and collaborate with other design and construction professionals in order to create sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing projects. She enjoys presenting valuable information on Green building and landscape material to other architectural and landscape professionals as well as lectures on drought tolerant and environmentally conscious solutions for the landscape application to horticultural groups and garden clubs.

Over the years of doing business in the landscape industry Theodora has been a member of the following organizations-
